Azeroth’s adventurers have conquered their way through the lands of Azeroth and beyond. They have demonstrated their prowess against the world’s deadliest foes and fended off universe-ending threats. And while they prepare for the battles ahead against the forces of Xal’atath in the forthcoming World of Warcraft® expansion, The War Within™, there’s a new foe they must face on the familiar grounds of the Arathi Highlands: each other. In Plunderstorm™, Dragonflight™ update 10.2.6, players will have access to a new limited-time, pirate-themed battle-royale-inspired event where the stakes are high and the rewards are epic.
A WHOLE NEW WAY TO PLAY WORLD OF WARCRAFT
– This isn’t just a standard battleground. As a standalone event outside of the main game, players can experience WoW with a battle royale twist. No classes. No gear (except for what you pick up in a match). Just skill and strategy will separate the strong and the weak to determine who will be the last one standing.
EASY ACCESS FOR ALL ACTIVE WOW PLAYERS
– Whether on a subscription or applied game time, Dragonflight or Wrath of the Lich King Classic™, all active WoW players will have access to Plunderstorm. Players will need to download and install the Dragonflight client but purchase of the expansion is not needed to jump in and play.
PLAY SOLO OR WITH A FRIEND
– Solo and Duo modes will be available throughout the event. Players will add their friends from the Plunderstorm character screen prior to joining the pre-match lobby area, appropriately pirate-themed.
FAST PACED ACTION WITH EPIC REWARDS
– Modern WoW players will recognize the renown track system by which all players will progress and earn rewards with the Keg Leg Crew (up to renown 40). With Battle.net account-wide progress, both Dragonflight and Wrath of the Lich King Classic players can earn rewards that they can enjoy and show off in both modern and Classic WoW games, including a new parrot mount and Pirate Pepe pet, with additional transmog rewards for modern WoW players.

– As we approach WoW’s 20th anniversary later this year, we are excited to find and build new ways to play the game and share that with our players.
