Gearing ALTS EASIER in this UPDATE in 12.0.7

Blizzard just made a huge update on drops in Val & Naigtal that will power boost you main and alts super fast. Val and Naigtal are the two new zones added in patch 12.0.5, in which we get one of the zones active each week. Both zones can be accessed on Normal mode and on Heroic mode. Here are the changes that we got when it comes to increased sources of power in the zones. 

 

Buy Warbound Hero Gear

There is a vendor in Silvermoon City that sells heroic gear and normal gear. The gear can be bought in which you buy a bag containing a random gear slot, except trinkets and there are gear specific slots that you can buy (trinkets not included). Also, you can choose between champion gear and hero gear. The champion slot specific gear costs 100 Field Accolades and the random gear slot costs 75 Field Accolades. The Heroic slot specific gear costs 750 Field Accolades and the random gear slot costs 500 Field Accolades. Before the change, the champion gear was warbound, so you can buy the gear on one character and then send them to your alts. The heroic gear was soulbound, so you had to farm Field Accolades on the character that you want to gear up. With the current change, the hero gear is also warbound, so now you can buy Hero gear and send to your alts. 

More Crests

There are rare enemies in Val and Naigtal with rotational spawn times. On normal mode, these rares dropped 4 Champion Crests and on Heroic mode, they dropped 2 Hero Crests. Now with the current update, the drops are 4 Hero Crests on Heroic mode and 8 Champion Crests on Normal mode. 

When on Heroic mode, you will get a debuff from time to time that will lead to an Elite mob spawning on your location and attacking you. This elite mod drops 5 Field accolades when killed and looted. With the current update, these elite mobs also drops 1 Hero Crest.  

Dark Particles

Dark Particles got introduced in patch 12.0.5, where you got them from Void Assault and Ritual Site activities. With Dark Particles, you can buy cosmetics or Field Accolades. With the current change, you can now loot Dark Particles from mobs in Val and Naigtal, both elites, non elites and rares. 

Rares

Rares on Heroic mode had a chance on dropping Warbound Champion gear. With current update, you will now have a 100% chance on looting Champion Gear and a chance on looting Hero Gear. This gear is a random slot and will be either cloth, mail, leather or Plate, no matter what class you are. 

Rares in Val and Naigtal had a spawtime on every 20 minutes, starting at the full hour. With current update, rares will spawn every 10 minutes instead, starting at the full hour. 

World Bosses

There is a world boss in Val and one in Naigtal. The world boss in each zone will also be in normal mode and heroic mode. On normal mode, the boss dropped champion gear 1/6 and on heroic mode it dropped champion gear 4/6. This gear is warbound and can only be looted once per week, no matter if you change character. But with current update, the normal boss drops champion gear that is soulbound and the heroic boss drops hero gear that is soulbound, for every character you kill the boss with. Also, on the first kill of the week on normal mode, you will get a hero piece 1/6 that is warbound and you will also get a hero piece 4/6 that is warbound on the first kill of the week on Heroic mode.
