In a recent series of hotfixes, Blizzard has made notable adjustments to the rewards for completing Timewalking quests, particularly aimed at players using alternate characters. The changes specifically impact the amount of Timewarped Badges earned from repeat completions of certain quests associated with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Changes to Timewarped Badge Rewards
For the quest "Disturbance Detected: Ulduar," players will now receive 300 Timewarped Badges for subsequent completions, a decrease from the previous amount. However, the first completion on an account will still yield the generous reward of 500 badges. Similarly, the quest "The Unstable Prism" has seen its repeat reward reduced to 200 badges, maintaining the initial 500 badges for first-time completions.

Developers Aim to Balance Timewarped Badge Economy with Warbound Updates
In the developers' notes, it was highlighted that with the introduction of Warbound Timewarped Badges, the intention is to ensure that engaging with alternate characters yields a modest reward. Many players have accumulated a substantial number of badges, and Blizzard anticipates that upcoming updates to Timewalking vendors will offer a useful avenue for these rewards. The team is committed to monitoring how this new economy evolves within the Warbound framework. Additionally, players can expect further updates to future Timewalking quests to align with these changes.
