How to Acquire Vanilla, the White Lynx Pet

If you're on the hunt for yet another charming Lynx pet, look no further than Vanilla, the delightful white Lynx! To add this adorable companion to your collection, you must complete the quest titled "Lost in the Darkness," where you'll need to rescue Tomothy Hillhelm from the sinister grip of The Grasping Darkness.

Getting Started with Lost in the Darkness

Before you can embark on this quest, make sure you’ve finished the War Within campaign, specifically the "Surface Bound" mission. Once you’ve unlocked World Quests and Adventure Mode, this storyline will be accessible to you.

The quest kicks off when you visit Aliya Hillhelm in the northeastern region of Hallowfall. She’ll task you with gathering 16 Corrupted Shadowleaf Seeds, a job initially meant for Tomothy Hillhelm, who has unfortunately gone missing.

As you begin your search, you’ll encounter Miral Murder-Mittens, a curious character whose name alone piques your interest. After accepting the "Follow Miral" quest, you’ll witness Miral dash off, only to vanish shortly thereafter. Your next rendezvous point with the kitten will be at Tomothy's Hoe (coordinates: /way 61, 25). Miral will repeat this disappearing act two more times, leading you to various clues associated with Tomothy’s whereabouts.

Miral will look at you with a sense of urgency, glancing between you and some ruins nearby. It seems clear that this is a location of interest—could it be where Tomothy has gotten lost?

Saving Tomothy

Once you accept the "Save Tomothy" quest, head into a nearby house where you’ll confront The Grasping Darkness to rescue Tomothy Hillhelm. After successfully saving him, return to Aliya Hillhelm to complete the quest and claim your new Lynx pet.
