The orginial gear reward in week 1 was 3 pieces of Veteran Gear. We knew that Ecological Succession was not 100% confirmed to be active in week 1 due to different information by Blizzard.
Now when 11.2 is live, it is confirmed that Ecological Succession is not up, meaning one less Veteran piece of gear.

Rewards a Fabled Veteran Cache that gives 5 Carved Crests and a Relic Coffer Key as well. -
Renown 7 with The K´aresh Trust.
You can then buy a veteran gear from the renown vendor.
