Fastest way to level up your Legendary cloak | World of Warcraft GamePlay Guides

After you do the questline to get your Legendary Cloak you will now upgrade it.

To upgrade it in the most effective way, you need some information of stuff around it and also a step by step way to level it up.

The Legendary Cloak is leveled up by doing the Horrific Vision Scenario.

The Legendary cloak has following

Primary Stats
Secondary Stats
Corruption Resistance
Reduce Sanity %

The max level you can get on your Cloak is 15, but after that you can still increase the corruption resistance on it.

By completing certain tasks in there, you will get rewarded with legendary pages and books.

CHANGES - Boosting your legendary cloak level

From the weekly reset of May 20th it goes mych faster to level up your cloak.

Each rank from 1-15 can now be achieved in a single Horrific Vision.

For example

Rank 13 to 14 will now require 2 Torn Pages of “The Final Truth” , instead of 6.
Rank 14 to 15 will now require 2 Torn Pages of “The Final Truth” , instead of 8.

BUT the changes after reaching rank 15 has not been changed.

You can also buy Vessel of Horrific Visions from Mother.
One Vessel costs 1750 Echoes of Nyalotha.

Horrific Vision

This is a scenario that takes place in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar.

This is a 1-5 man scenario that has 5 mini bosses divided in different zones of the city.

The further you go, the harder it will be and also, the faster the sanity bar ticks.

It costs to enter this scenario

1 Vessel of Horrific Visions is the cost to enter one time.

How to get Vessel of Horrific Visions

Completing the specific Assault Black Empire
Buy one from Wrathion.
It costs 10000 Coalescing Visions to buy one Vessel of Horrific Vision.
Wrathion is located in the Heart Chamber after you have completed the beginning of 8.3 questline.

From Dailies
From Rares
From World Quests
From Assaults

INSIDE THE HORRIFIC VISION

You have an insanity bar when entering the scenario.
Reaching max bar will kick you out of the scenario.
The further in you go, the higher the sanity ticks.
The more dmg you take and also by special abilities, the more sanity you get.

The 2 zones Orgrimmar and Stormwind are divided in 5 blocks

Block 1 – Tainted Area - The Main Objective (Easy)
You find Thrall/Alleria here
Drains 5 Sanity per sec
“Occasionally find yourself close to death without explanation”
Block 2 and 3 – Corrupted Areas - Bonus Objectives (HARD)
Drains 7 Sanity per sec
“While moving, you sometimes leap over imaginary fiery hazards.”
Block 4 and 5 – Lost Area - Bonus Objective (HARDEST)
Drains 9 Sanity per sec
“While in combat, you quickly tire of movement and must rest often”

LEVELING LEGENDARY CLOAK WALKTHROUGH
STEP by STEP

STEP 1

Get your Legendary Cloak via the starting questline of 8.3

STEP 2 (Rank 1)

Enter the first Horrific Vision.
When you enter the first time via the questline you will go straight to Thrall (if Orgrimmar) or Alleria (if Stormwind) and kill. Do not risk on getting killed or loosing sanity, because then you get kicked out and you literally lost one day of grinding materials to enter the place again. Play safe.

You will get the quest to start getting pages to the book “The Curse of Stone”.

STEP 3 (Rank 2-5)

The first 5 levels of your cloak are obtainable by just killing the main objective Thrall/Alleria.
Don’t risk to much in there during the first 5 levels. Make sure you do the main objective.

You get a page for “The Cursed Stone” each time you complete this.

STEP 4 (Rank 6)

Get to Rank 6
Complete a bonus objective (a corrupted area). This rewards with a quest that enables you to get to rank 6. This is the book for the Fear and Flesh.

STEP 5 (Rank 7-10)

You must now complete both bonus objectives (corrupted areas) to get 2 pages.
Do that until you reach level 11.

STEP 6 (Rank 12)

Now you must complete the bonus objective that is the hardest – The Lost Area.
Completing one gives you the quest that enables you to get to rank 12. This is the book for the Final Truth.

STEP 7 (Rank 13-15)

Now it is all about completing the 2 bonus objectives The Lost Area to get pages for the Book “Final Truth”.
Do this until you reach level 15.

STEP 8 (Rank 15+)

Now you are level 15 on your cloak and you can still upgrade it, but not actually level it.

How to upgrade Rank 15 Cloak
Every week you can get an item called Malefic Core.
You get the Core when you have completed an entire Horrific Vision OR killed N´Zoth.
One Malefic Core upgrades your Cloak´s Corruption Resistance by 3.

If you are behind in levling your cloak, then you can get 2 Cores per week.
You get one from the Horrific Vision and one from killing N´zoth.
