Welcome back to the latest Warcraft news! It's been a significant week with timewalking guides offering substantial progress, and there's more exciting news for players: near-free heroic gear and an incredible farm opportunity for Valor stones and crests. With the official release of Season 1, including Mythic+, Mythic Raid, and the second wing of LFR, there's much to cover.
Story Mode Launches
The first version of Story Mode is now available, functioning as a follower raid with a redesigned final boss. This mode is designed to be stress-free and is more accessible for the follower system AI. Players can begin this journey in Azet, complete a short quest line, and face the final boss alongside five Algar Expedition members. For raiders, this encounter is straightforward, offering an easy kill and access to the final cutscene. Completing this mode also rewards an enchanted runed Harbinger Crest, which can be used to craft high-level gear without spending additional crests.
Mythic+ Data and Changes
Mythic+ has been active for a few days, and our Nightstalker has gathered some intriguing data. The number of runs has nearly doubled compared to Dragonflight Season 4 within the first 24 hours, reaching about 730,000 runs on the leaderboard. This surge indicates a strong player interest, though many are waiting for the weekend to dive into Mythic+ content. The pressing question remains whether War Within can surpass Dragonflight's Season 1 record of 36 million runs in 147 days.
Blizzard has also implemented changes to the Mythic+ scoring system, simplifying the grind. Now, players only need to complete each dungeon once to earn full score, eliminating the need to wait for weekly affix rotations. This means achieving Keystone Master requires completing eight dungeons instead of sixteen at the same level.
PTR and Upcoming Changes
The PTR has introduced an updated Judgment tier with a new variant offering trousers instead of a robe, catering to players who prefer a different aesthetic. Additionally, the Classic Timewalking vendor is now available, providing access to mounts and classic transmogs.Timewalking is currently active, making it the perfect time to farm badges and progress rapidly. Players can make months of progress in days, thanks to increased efficiency.
20th Anniversary Event
The 20th Anniversary event is filled with nostalgic character updates and reenactments of stories from WoW's history. Jim Cummings returns to voice characters like Lorewalker Cho, adding depth to the event. Players can enjoy a 20% XP and reputation buff, with a permanent 10% for the event's duration and an additional 10% through daily participation.
Quick Tips and Valor Stone Farming
If you've noticed a lack of upgrades for Brand's curios, a recent hotfix has resolved an issue that prevented other curios from dropping. Additionally, a new method for farming Valor Stones involves tackling Zaq on his one-question-mark difficulty, offering a fast way to earn Valor Stones with high DPS and proper tactics.
Overall, these updates and events provide plenty of opportunities for players to engage with new content and enhance their gameplay experience. Stay tuned for more developments in the coming weeks!
