We are getting new updated currencies in season 4 regarding the outdoor gear vendors tied to Dreamsurge event and Timerift event.
The Dreamsurge event that sells Veteran gear will change its currency to Dreamsurge Cradle. So you cannot use the old currency to buy the new ilvl gear.
The Timerift event will change its currency to Dilated Eon Canister. So you cannot use the old currency to buy the new ilvl gear.
